Synthetic oils can meet higher lubrication requirements than mineral oils. Recently, a new type of synthetic oil has begun to enter the lubricant market: (OSP) oil-soluble Polyalkylene synthetic Oil, or oil Soluble PAG, (Oil Soluble Polyalkylene Glycols).
This new synthetic oil has the advantage of being soluble in both mineral oil and esters (whether synthetic or natural). Conventional polyalkylene glycols (PAG), on the other hand, is incompatible with mineral oil and most other synthetic oils, and has problems with water solubility.
The friction coefficient of oil-soluble PAG is low, its resistance to oxidation at high temperatures, and its polarity (favorable for the dissolution of additives) makes it a material for high quality oils, such as high-grade gear oils, greases, hydraulic oils, and metal working oils.
In the field of greases, the Lithium Complex are used as thickening agent to blend with OSP into Lithium Complex Grease, which is widely used in industrial and automotive lubrication.
Nanjing Chemical Material Corp. Provide 1,2-Epoxybutane and lithium compounds for this Oil-soluble PAG application.
