Glutaraldehyde Glutaraldehyde

    Glutaraldehyde, molecular formula C5H8O2, is an organic compound, with a pungent odor. It is a  colorless transparent oil liquid, commonly used as fungicides, food industry processing AIDS, disinfectants, tanning agents, wood preservatives, drugs and polymer synthetic raw materials.


    Glutaraldehyde is irritating to the skin and mucous membranes of humans and animals. Five percent of glutaraldehyde causes severe irritant reaction symptoms, but two percent only gives the skin a shiny brown color.


    It can be used as antiseptic, tanning agent, wood preservative, medicine and polymer synthetic raw materials, etc. Glutaraldehyde can also be used as a fixative for microscopic examination.


    Glutaraldehyde can combined with chromium tanning cattle, pig, sheep clothing leather, glove leather.It is suitable for low temperature (below 0℃) sealed away from light storage. This product has a strong irritation to eyes and skin, people should wear glasses, gloves and other protective equipment when taking. It can not be used with vegetable tanning agents and syntanning agents containing phenols.
